About Sandra

I love languages and I’m passionate about teaching. I graduated with high honors as a Translator and Interpreter of foreign languages in a Peruvian University. I worked as a school English teacher, a private teacher for young students, and, later on, as a University Professor, which has given me wide and great experience teaching all levels.

I learned how to read Spanish at a very early age. I was only 4 and think I loved the shape of letters and how they connected with sounds. Since then, I’ve developed a taste and love for languages and linguistics

About the lesson

I love achieving goals and help students to accomplish their own. My classes foster a positive environment, there’s nothing wrong in the process of learning, everything are experiences that will end in the confidence of mastering a new language.
I use my students’ curiosity to set the pace of every session.

Connection is everything and I protect it in order for them to succeed. I absolutely enjoy those aha moments or sudden realizations they make in our sessions while connecting information, which take them to a different level of learning!

There’s no better way of learning a language than watching, listening to and repeating, as when we were little ones, and that’s what I apply in my classes. On top of that I’ve perfected a system to read and pronounce almost a perfect Spanish!
And even when communication is the purpose of any language, mastering a good pronunciation will boost that confidence you need to flourish!
