About Olajumoke
I am a graduate of Biochemistry from Madonna University, Nigeria. My master’s degree in Biochemistry, with an excellent grade was done at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. During my master’s study, I was actively involved in mentoring science students as a Life Science teacher in a college close to my home. I am passionate about stirring up the appetite of youths for courses in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), thereby increasing the number of people focused on scientific research for better healthcare. In 2016, I was awarded a fully funded scholarship for my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in South Africa by the National Research Foundation-The World Academy of Science (NRF-TWAS).

When I teach, my aim is to ensure that my audience get a good grasp of the fundamental principles and learning skills that can precipitate thought provoking ideas. As such, I stimulate student’s critical thinking for productive arguments, teach students on how to evaluate evidence, develop effective communication skills in students, and also ensure that they are able to deploy the principles learnt to generate novel ideas. I believe that these skills would prepare students for their professional endeavors. Through class activities and practical assignments designed to promote critical thinking, I make sure my students are able to generalize their knowledge to solve real live challenges.
