About Callum
I am a recent Chemical Biology PhD academic from a world-leading London university and as a passionate scientific communicator, I hope to build your confidence as a scientist. As your tutor, I will be dedicated to finding the best teaching style and lesson format, to ensure you excel. I often enjoy providing real-world applications of scientific areas and concepts to provoke interest in a subject. Having previously supported students in London, I am now based in Melbourne and looking to provide Biology support. My teaching approach is dismantling larger problems and contextualizing issues to make subjects less intimidating and easier to remember. I have a student-focused approach and will tailor lessons to your needs to find the best approach for your learning. I have 5+ years of experience with exam techniques and I aim to help my students master it to overcome time hurdles within a stressful environment. I teach from grade 8+ to higher education and have tutoring experience at all these levels. I give hour-long lessons that can be tailored around the following areas; - Targeted lessons on a subject/area - Problem classes on a subject/area - Coaching for upcoming exams - Proofreading and coursework guidance
