About Pritesh
in Math and Science, middle school to early college. I also plan to teach SAT classes in a lecture/classroom setting soon. I tend to have an easy going demeanor and find it easy to connect with students. However, I can be insistent and assertive if a student needs nudging to pay attention. Currently, I tutor Math up to Calculus, SAT, ACT, and GRE math and science section. Physics is my favorite subject to learn about and teach about, though, I also love literature and history. My tutoring style differs with each individual student or classroom setting. I like to evaluate a student and see what kind of encouragement or mentoring they need while still being effective in teaching the academic material. I am an avid billiards player, an insatiable reader, I watch a plethora of TV shows and films, and am an aspiring guitarist. I love to pass on knowledge and hope to build lasting relationships with the families and students I work with.

Each student is going to be different. However, I like to break down concepts to specific categories and always build from basics to build a foundation for mathematical knowledge. This means working through problems together, watching the student do problems on their own, and finally assigning any other readings or problem sets as needed. I will provide cramming sessions in dire situations, but I prefer to make sure the student has days to absorb the material properly.
