About Julie
I recently completed my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at York University, where I developed a strong foundation in biology, health sciences, laboratory work, scientific research, and academic writing. I also completed the IB program, so I understand firsthand the academic expectations, workload, examinations, and challenges that IB students face.
Having recently completed my studies, I understand what it is like to be a student and how important it is to have concepts explained clearly and patiently. My university and laboratory experience has given me a deeper understanding of biology beyond the school level, which I hope to pass on to my students.
I enjoy helping students understand difficult biological concepts rather than simply memorizing them, while also sharing useful study methods and exam techniques from my own academic experience.

I provide Biology lessons tailored to each student’s level, learning style, and academic goals. Having completed the IB program myself, I understand the demands of IB Biology, including exam preparation, scientific concepts, data analysis, and the importance of understanding how to answer questions effectively.
I also have a Biomedical Science degree and experience in laboratory work, scientific research, and academic writing, allowing me to connect Biology concepts to real scientific applications.
My lessons are typically 60 minutes and focus on understanding concepts rather than simply memorizing information. I can help with reviewing difficult topics, exam preparation, assignments, practice questions, and strengthening areas where a student may be struggling. Lessons are suitable for IB students as well as other school and university-level Biology students.
