About John
Intonation struggles often stem from tension. Beginners and intermediate violinists require patience.
I integrate 13 years of performance knowledge into every minute. My lessons emphasize technical precision and musical clarity.

Returning learners and teens find steady ground here. I hold a BMus degree from the UBC School of Music. My career involves performing with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
I have accumulated 13 years of teaching experience. My studio in Montreal hosts violinists from RCM Grade 1 through Grade 10. I focus heavily on shifting positions and intonation. Spiccato and staccato bowing are central to my technique.
Vibrato and tone production occupy much of our studio time. Orchestral playing informs my sight reading methods. My approach is unhurried.
