About Yvonne
Instruction should be genuinely stimulating rather than purely academic. I admit that precision in bowing is difficult to achieve without a guided plan. My BMus background ensures that music theory and scale studies are always handled with rigor.
We will move through arpeggios, sight reading, and detailed intonation exercises. Spiccato and staccato techniques are integrated into every single meeting for maximum progress.
I provide weekly practice modules assigned with every class to maintain consistency. These modules provide the structure necessary for self-taught players and hobbyists to succeed. Enjoying the transformation of a piece through deliberate practice is the greatest outcome.

Performing music across Canada for 13 years shaped my perspective on string pedagogy. Classical and folk traditions define my musical identity. My formal BMus degree serves as the foundation for 5 years of dedicated instruction. Helping students refine their technique remains my primary professional focus.
