About Melissa

Hi! I’m Melissa. I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and Spanish is my native language.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Communications, and I moved to the United States about 12 years ago. I’ve been living in Massachusetts for the past three years. I’m fully fluent in both Spanish and English. I learned English after moving to the U.S., so I truly understand what it takes to learn a new language from scratch.
Currently, I work in real estate, which means I’m constantly communicating, negotiating, and building relationships. Because of this, I can help you not only with everyday Spanish, but also with real-life conversations, storytelling, and professional communication.
My focus is to help you:

About the lesson

My teaching approach is centered around real-life communication and confidence building. As a native Spanish speaker, I focus on helping students speak naturally from the beginning, not just memorize grammar rules.
I use a combination of:
Conversational practice (real-life scenarios)
Vocabulary building through context
Simple grammar explanations when needed
Repetition and reinforcement techniques
Personalized corrections in a supportive way
I adapt every lesson to the student’s pace and learning style, making sure they feel comfortable and motivated.

Each lesson is structured but flexible, depending on the student’s level and goals.
A typical class may include:
Warm-up conversation (5–10 minutes)

Grammar focus (if needed, explained simply)

For beginners, I include more structure and foundational vocabulary. For intermediate/advanced students, I focus more on conversation, fluency, and pronunciation.
