Shogo is my husband. We got married last year on November 8th, 2022. We met in 2018, and when we met, I didn't know any Japanese (I'm Korean) and he didn't know any English! Throughout the years we spent together before getting married, we tried our hardest to communicate and learned each other's languages. Now I am fluent in Japanese in terms of speaking, writing/reading hiragana, and understanding, only from 4 years of us dating and now heading towards 1 year of marriage. He is a very patient person and is passionate about spreading his knowledge! I couldn't recommend him enough to teach everyone Japanese; he's very funny and understanding! For those afraid of picking up Japanese, it's a very fun language and pretty easy to learn considering I'm trilingual with Japanese, Korean, and English, and at one point also knew fluent Spanish and Italian (didn't use them, so I forgot sadly). I think having Shogo as a Japanese teacher will feel like a friend, someone you can talk to comfortably without feeling dumb for not knowing certain things. You won't regret picking him! :)
