About Lydia
My name is Lydia and I grew up in Tanzania.
I've loved cooking since I was little and I want to share this passion with you!
Every dish I prepare is the result of my dedication and love for the art of cooking.
I really like experimenting with new flavors and new techniques as well as incorporating several cultures in a single dish (e.g. mix of Africa and Asia).
Even though I never studied in culinary schools, I acquired many skills through years spent in the kitchen which allowed me to improve and learn many different techniques.
I am a French student in Geneva, my French is not perfect so I prefer to give lessons in English, but if you don't speak English to me I can get by in French!
I also speak Swahili.

Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, my lessons are fun and adapted to your level and above all... to your tastes!
As a teacher, for example, I want to teach you which spices to use and how to incorporate them to make your dishes tastier.
We will learn to cook meat, fish, rice, vegetables... and all that in the traditional African way.
You can also learn to cook lighter snacks, for example samosas and ravioli (pork, beef, vegetarian, etc.)
You will choose the dishes you want to make, and we will cook them step by step.
At the end we can do a recap and write down the steps so you can do them at home.
