About Olivia
Hi! I'm Olivia, a Canadian tutor currently living in Germany.
I have a BSc in Neuroscience from Dalhousie University, a Bachelor of Education from the University of New Brunswick, and a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction. I also completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma at boarding school, where I developed strong study, organization, and time-management skills.
Throughout all three of my university degrees, I was also a varsity hockey player, so I know firsthand how challenging it can be to balance academics, athletics, travel, and other commitments. This experience has made me especially passionate about helping students become more confident, organized, and independent learners.
I have a strong background in biology and science, as well as English and French. I also enjoy helping students with study strategies, exam preparation, homework, time management, and organization.
As a tutor, I aim to be approachable, patient, and encouraging. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and to leave each lesson feeling like they understand the material a little better than they did before.
I'm excited to work with students of different ages and learning styles and help them find strategies that work best for them!

My lessons are personalized to each student's needs, learning style, and goals. Whether you're looking for help with biology or science, improving your English or French, preparing for an exam, completing homework, or becoming more organized with your schoolwork, I can adapt our sessions to what you need most.
I focus on making difficult topics easier to understand by breaking them down into clear, manageable steps. I also like to use practice questions, examples, discussions, and active learning rather than simply talking through the material.
For students who struggle with organization or time management, we can also work on creating realistic study schedules, prioritizing assignments, preparing for exams, and building routines that actually fit into your life.
As a varsity athlete throughout university, I understand how difficult it can be to balance school with sports, activities, work, and other commitments. I can help students develop practical strategies to stay organized, manage their time, and feel more confident in their ability to keep up.
Lessons are available online, and I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn.
