About Xenia

I am a qualified primary school teacher with over 10 years of experience working with children across schools, nurseries, nannying and private tuition. Throughout my teaching career, I have taught mathematics across the Primary National Curriculum and have extensive experience planning, teaching and assessing lessons to support children of varying abilities.

I am passionate about helping children develop confidence in maths and believe that every child can succeed when learning is presented in a way that works for them. I enjoy breaking down challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps and using practical activities, visual resources and real-life examples to make maths engaging and easier to understand.

About the lesson

My maths lessons are designed for primary-aged children and are tailored to each child’s individual ability, learning style and goals.

As a qualified primary school teacher, I use my knowledge of the National Curriculum to provide engaging, structured and supportive lessons. Sessions can focus on areas your child may be finding challenging, reinforce learning from school, build confidence or provide additional challenge for children working above age-related expectations.

I use a range of practical activities, visual resources, games and problem-solving tasks to make maths enjoyable and accessible. I believe that building confidence is just as important as developing mathematical skills, so lessons take place in a positive and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions.
