About JB
I greatly enjoy teaching mathematics, but I especially enjoy teaching Calculus. Over the past 20 years, my high school students have achieved a yearly AP exam pass rate of approximately 80%, with over 50% of my students scoring a 4 or 5 on the exam each year. I believe that part of their success is my ability to explain difficult concepts in a simple way that makes sense to them.

After 20 years of teaching Calculus, I have a good grasp of where students' misconceptions about Calculus topics come from and a wide variety of examples and explanations to help address those misconceptions. My goal is for you to understand the mathematics and be able to apply your knowledge to various problem scenarios. I specialize in AP Calculus content but would be able to assist any high school or college student in a single-variable Calculus course.
