About Hongyi
I am a University of Cambridge graduate with a Master of Engineering and a strong academic background in mathematics. I achieved an A* in IGCSE Additional Mathematics (0606) and a score of 7/7 in IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches at Higher Level. Having studied both IGCSE and IBDP myself, I understand the demands of these programmes and the importance of developing a secure understanding of mathematical concepts rather than simply memorising formulae.

I will give 50-60 minute classes, for new lessons or example lessons. I worked in a school teaching International GCSE maths. I could give GCSE tutorials for Grade 9-10 students, helping them break difficult problems into manageable steps, explain the reasoning behind each method and help students develop the confidence to tackle unfamiliar questions independently.
