About Joseph
I have loved engineering from a young age, it has always been a passion of mine and something I knew I wanted to pursue from early on. A big part of that comes down to a teacher I had who made the subject genuinely exciting and helped everything click into place. That experience stuck with me and is a large part of why I now enjoy helping others in the same way.
One of the things I find most rewarding is seeing the moment a student finally gets a concept they have been struggling with. There is nothing quite like watching someone go from confused to confident, and being a part of that process is what makes tutoring something I genuinely care about rather than just a job.
That passion for the subject, combined with being at Cambridge studying Engineering, means I bring both real enthusiasm and strong academic knowledge to every session.

I put time into preparing each session in advance, so lessons are structured and make the most of our time together. Rather than just lecturing through content, my focus is on making sure students actually understand and retain what they're learning.
Sessions are built around the student. I'm happy to work through homework and any problems they're stuck on, but I also structure lessons to actively test the knowledge they've built up, whether that's through practice questions, past paper work, or problem solving on the spot. This way it's easy to spot gaps early and address them before they become an issue in the exam.
The goal is for students to leave each session more confident and capable, not just having sat through an explanation.
