About Cambridge

Mathematics has always been my passion, and I have been fortunate to study it at the highest level from the University of Cambridge. What I enjoy most, however, is helping students discover that mathematics can be logical, rewarding and even enjoyable when it is explained clearly.

I believe that every student can make significant progress with the right guidance. My aim is not simply to help students achieve excellent examination results, but to develop genuine understanding, confidence and independent problem-solving skills that will benefit them long after the exam. Watching students overcome challenges and realise their potential is the most rewarding part of teaching, and it is what has motivated me throughout my career.

About the lesson

Whether you are aiming for an A* at A-Level, preparing for STEP or MAT, or working towards admission to Cambridge, Oxford or another leading university, I tailor every lesson to your individual goals and learning style.

I have over 15 years of experience teaching A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, as well as university admissions preparation. During this time, I have helped numerous students gain places at Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial College London, UCL and other top universities. I also worked for three years as an OCR STEP marker, giving me valuable insight into how examiners assess advanced mathematical solutions.

My lessons focus on developing genuine mathematical understanding rather than simply memorising methods. I explain difficult concepts clearly, identify gaps in understanding, and guide students through carefully selected examples before progressing to challenging examination questions. This approach helps students build confidence, solve unfamiliar problems and perform consistently under examination conditions.

Lessons are fully personalised to each student, whether you need support with GCSE Mathematics, A-Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics, TMUA, MAT or STEP. I teach in both English and Korean and provide structured notes, detailed feedback and ongoing support between lessons where appropriate.
