About Aliya
Hi, my name is Aliya. I am an undergraduate student at the University of Cambridge. I am at Trinity College, where I read Human, Social and Political Sciences - a subject which incorporates Political Theory, International Relations, Sociology and Social Anthropology.
Beyond anything, I love to learn. I love sharing my perspectives and discovering new things. Even though I will be your tutor, there'll be so much I will learn from you too.
Apart from my degree, I enjoy cooking and debating. I am a member of the Cambridge Union Society, and have had the pleasure of serving on multiple committees under multiple presidents. I have absolutely loved being able to source speakers as well as enjoy the excitement of the Thursday Night Debate.
I also love exploring London and visiting museums - an activity I can't wait to pick back up this summer!

Hi, it's lovely to meet you! My name is Aliya and I am an undergraduate student at Trinity College, University of Cambridge. As a student with hearing loss, I can provide the unique perspective of succeeding under significant challenges. Further, I believe a key part of our work together relies on building communication skills and confidence.
Previously, I volunteered at a Nigerian STEM charity, tutoring in Biology, Chemistry and Physics between KS1-3. I also mentored many students in debate and public speaking, running weekly workshops during my tenure as President of the Security Council at our Model United Nations. I have also tutored students in politics, a subject which I have an infectious passion for!
My lessons cater to you - they will be extremely engaging, with every lesson catered to your needs and your desired outcomes. We will begin with a general long-term lesson plan, focusing on a different topic each session, ensuring we hit our targets every time.
I like to focus especially on catering your revision towards exam technique so that we can ensure you do as best as possible.
For each session, I propose an hour of tutoring; with 5 minutes to introduce our goals at the beginning, and 5 minutes at the end to reflect on what went well or could be improved.
Of course, this is about you. I will amend and change my style and substance in order to cater to you. Everyone has a unique learning style, and it is my job to help you discover yours.
