About Whitney
I start by assessing your current level so we know exactly where to begin our work. We review your chord transitions and lead guitar fluency before moving into new territory.
My approach to feedback is direct and consistent to ensure you maintain steady progress. As a graduate of Humber College, I rely on a structured curriculum that serves advanced learners.
You will gain a deep understanding of how sheet music informs your performance during these 8 years of experience. We spend time on improvisation and soloing to make the music feel more personal. I offer a free trial session to assess your starting level. You might find that the process of refining your craft is quite enjoyable.

Music theory was not the first thing I studied because I started with raw, hands-on experimentation. My formal path led me through a Bachelor of Music at Humber College and RCM Grade 10. For 8 years, I have refined my ability to teach acoustic technique, lead guitar, and improvisation.
I have worked with 384 students to bridge the gap between simple chords and complex blues progressions. My secondary studies in voice and guitar at Schulich provide a unique perspective on songwriting. I enjoy breaking down scales, modes, and fingerpicking patterns into manageable parts. This work is rarely easy, but the results speak for themselves.
