About Leann
I admit that I often hum the melody while teaching complex chord transitions to my students. My McGill degree and 8 years of experience inform how I teach fingerpicking, barre chords, and improvisation and soloing.
Whether you are learning to read sheet music or need help with tuning and maintenance, I make the process accessible. I enjoy reading tabs and teaching lead guitar or scales and modes for acoustic technique. Do you have a specific song request that you want to play?

I turn your song requests into simplified arrangements that match your current skill level and goals. Music is personal, and teaching 125 students has shown me that individualizing the repertoire is one of the best ways to keep learning enjoyable and productive. With 10 years of teaching experience, I break down each piece into manageable sections so you can build confidence while making steady progress.
We focus on technique, rhythm, timing, and musical expression while working through songs you genuinely enjoy. Instead of simply following exercises, you will learn how to apply new skills directly to the music you want to play.
My goal is to make every lesson practical, engaging, and rewarding. Playing music should be the highlight of your week, not another task on your schedule.
