About Louie

My passion for tutoring maths stems from my personal journey with the subject. Once grappling with difficulties, I transformed my relationship with mathematics under the guidance of an inspiring tutor. Their dedication not only shifted my perspective but also propelled me from a grade D to a grade A within two years. This transformative experience ignited a desire to pay it forward by helping others unravel the complexities of maths. Recognising the pervasive role of mathematics in modern careers, I am driven to empower students with the confidence and skills necessary for success. Through personalised support and fostering a positive learning environment, I aspire to instil in my students the same appreciation and enthusiasm for maths that my own tutor instilled in me.

About the lesson

In crafting an effective maths tutoring lesson, I prioritise a personalised approach tailored to each student's needs. My lessons begin with a comprehensive assessment to gauge the student's current abilities and identify strengths and weaknesses. Regular testing, conducted every three weeks using carefully selected test papers, ensures ongoing evaluation and progress tracking. This approach allows me to adapt the tutoring sessions dynamically, placing emphasis on the topics that prove most challenging for the student. By creating a supportive and interactive learning environment, I aim not only to address immediate concerns but also to foster a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. Through this structured and tailored methodology, I strive to cultivate a solid foundation for sustained academic success.
