About Cecilia
Enjoyment is the primary driver of musical improvement. 100 percent of my students benefit from a dedicated practice module included with every lesson to keep their momentum high. I use my background from the Concordia University music program to help you navigate complex concepts like barre chords and acoustic technique. Whether you are a teen or a returning learner, I make sure the material is accessible and rewarding.
I find that self-taught players often have gaps in their knowledge that we can fill together. My approach to grading and theory is rooted in the reality of performing music live. I draw from my history in the folk scene to make our time together feel more like a rehearsal than a school lecture.

Working professionals often tell me they struggle to find time for a consistent practice routine. Do you find that your busy schedule makes it difficult to commit to structured music theory or technique? My 13 years of experience gigging the Montreal folk scene have provided me with a deep knowledge of scales, modes, and fingerpicking. Having guided 334 students through their musical journeys, I have seen almost every roadblock a player can encounter.
I earned my BM in Guitar from Concordia University, which gives me a solid foundation for teaching rhythm and lead guitar. My focus remains on keeping the process relaxed and manageable for your personal goals.
