About Izzy
As a current elite and professional athlete I both understand and draw on the practical implications of the subject. I have graduated with a first class honours degree in Sport, Exercise and Physical Activity from Durham University. I have also completed Physical Education GCSEs, BTECs and A-levels. I have tutored GCSE and A Level PE to students from all over the UK online for the last couple of years. I have thoroughly enjoyed this process and have received great feedback. I do this alongside working in a primary school part time. I am a qualified TEFL tutor (teaching English as a foreign language) and have taught immersive English lessons to Chinese children online between the ages of 4 and 11. I also have experience helping students with UCAS personal statements and have a 100% success rate, with these students all getting offers from their first choice university.

I use a holistic approach with tutoring each individual and adapt my teaching methods to their learning preferences. I am compassionate, motivated and adaptable, which is reflected in my tutoring. Moving schools for sixth forms opened my eyes to how my previous and many other schools hadn’t targeted their learning well towards the mark schemes of exams / coursework, with students feeling lost in the content / what is required and struggling to remember vast amounts of information. I use this as a foundation to enable my students to enter exams confident their learning has been tailored to what is going to get them those crucial marks.
