About Afrin

Hi! I'm a Pharmacy student at the University of Bath — one of the UK's top universities for science. I achieved top grades across my GCSEs and know first-hand what it takes to succeed.
I genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects that can feel overwhelming at first. My approach is patient, friendly and always focused on the student — I adapt every session to suit your learning style, so you never feel lost or left behind.
I've worked with younger students and discovered how rewarding it is to watch someone finally "click" with a topic they've been struggling with. That's what drives me.
Outside of my studies, I'm passionate about keeping fit — whether that's hitting the gym or going for a run. It keeps me disciplined and focused, values I bring into every tutoring session too.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to build genuine understanding, not just memorisation. As a Pharmacy student at the University of Bath, I have a strong command of science and the ability to break down complex topics into clear, digestible ideas — making tricky GCSE concepts feel far more manageable.
Each session is interactive and student-led, using a Q&A style to keep things engaging and to make sure nothing gets left behind. Rather than lecturing, I encourage students to think through problems themselves, which builds real confidence going into exams.
I place a strong emphasis on exam technique and past paper practice, so students not only understand the material but know exactly how to apply it under pressure — a skill that can make a huge difference to final grades.
Typical Lesson — 1 Hour Online
Sessions run for one hour via video call. This keeps focus sharp without overwhelming the student. Lessons are structured but flexible depending on what the student needs that week — whether it's tackling a difficult topic or working through past paper questions together.
Who Are the Lessons For?
My tuition is aimed at GCSE students (typically ages 14–16) looking to improve their grades or build confidence in science-based subjects.
Experience
Alongside my university studies, I have volunteering and mentoring experience working with younger students, which has sharpened my ability to explain ideas clearly and patiently.
