I want to teach because I believe it is important to pass on the practical skills, work ethic, and industry knowledge that I have gained throughout my career. I enjoy helping others learn and develop confidence in their abilities, and I find it rewarding to see learners progress and achieve their goals. By combining my real-world experience with a genuine enthusiasm for the trade, I hope to inspire the next generation of carpenters and joiners and help prepare them for successful careers in the industry.

I am a qualified Carpentry and Joinery professional with 9 years of industry experience and a City & Guilds Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery. Throughout my career, I have developed extensive practical knowledge and expertise across a wide range of carpentry, joinery, and furniture-making projects.

I am the owner and director of Rudd Bespoke Joinery and Furniture, a successful business specialising in high-quality bespoke joinery and handcrafted furniture. Operating from a fully equipped workshop, I design, manufacture, and install custom-made products for both residential and commercial clients. My work combines traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing techniques to deliver exceptional standards of quality and finish.

In addition to managing all aspects of my business, I maintain a professional online presence through my website, ruddbespokejoinery.co.uk, which showcases completed projects, craftsmanship, and client-focused services.

My experience includes workshop practices, machine and hand tool operation, furniture manufacture, bespoke cabinetry, fitted furniture, technical drawings, project planning, installation, and health and safety compliance. This broad industry background enables me to provide students with practical, real-world knowledge that reflects current industry standards and expectations.

As a tutor, I am passionate about supporting learners in developing their skills, confidence, and understanding of the trade. I strive to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where students can gain both the technical knowledge and practical experience needed to succeed in carpentry and joinery careers. My goal is to inspire the next generation of craftspeople while helping them achieve their qualifications and professional ambitions.
