My teaching methods are designed on making activities that promote active learning. In group classes, students work in pairs or groups when answering questions and in private classes, I cater to the students' needs whether it be wanting to focus on a certain skill or achieving a desired go like passing a test. Once we have practice covering a grammar point or vocabulary, I try to include a freer task that promotes using the language in the appropriate context.
I am an EFL teacher certified in Toronto, Canada with a CELTA Pass A certification. I spent the last three years teaching at different private high schools in Tokyo, Japan, designing curriculum and exams and honing my skills for English conversation classes. I am taking full-time French classes at the moment and I have experience studying Japanese and Mandarin Chinese, so I know how it feels to be student of a foreign language.
If lesson is cancelled at least 24 hours before the start of the class, there is no penalty.
