About Rachel
As a Bachelor of Elementary Education graduate with, I want to give all children the opportunity to experience their school journey in a safe, supportive environment with a strong focus on Early Literacy and Numeracy, while instilling values and beliefs. My past experiences working in schools, with specialized services and tutoring have helped me form a foundation for practices I use each and every day. I am eager for the opportunity to expand myself both professionally and educationally, by pursuing my studies further at the master’s level in the future.

My teaching methods involve positive reinforcement, collaboration and making the learning fun and light hearted. I have applied strategies in early learning situations to help families achieve greater successes for their children with developmental delays. By using frequent communication with parents and partnering with them, my students have achieved greater success over a short period of time. I have made it my priority to build strong positive relationships with parents, helping them to understand the needs of their children and creating partnerships through Home Visits, formal and informal contacts.
