About Yuko

I am a native Japanese speaker who was born and raised in Nagoya, Japan. I have a qualification in Japanese language teaching and a minor in Japanese Language Education from university.

I also have a masters in international relations from UK, as well as professional experience working in an international business environment. These experiences have strengthened my interest in cross-cultural communication and understanding different cultures.

As a Japanese tutor, I aim to create a welcoming and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I enjoy sharing not only the Japanese language but also the cultural context and everyday expressions that help learners communicate naturally.

Whether you are learning Japanese for travel, work, study, or personal interest, I will tailor my lessons to your goals and level. I look forward to helping you improve your Japanese skills and gain confidence in using the language!

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Yuko, a qualified Japanese language teacher with a minor in Japanese Language Education at university.

My goal is to help you learn Japanese in a comfortable, supportive, and enjoyable environment. I believe that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to your goals, interests, and learning pace.

My teaching approach

I focus on helping you understand and use Japanese in real-life situations. Depending on your needs, we can practice everyday conversations, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, and writing. I aim to explain Japanese clearly, using examples and comparisons with English when helpful.

What to expect in a lesson

Each lesson is tailored to your level and goals. We can start by reviewing what you have learned and identifying areas you would like to improve. Then, we will focus on a specific topic through explanations, examples, and practice activities. We will finish by reviewing key points and discussing what to work on next.

Who my lessons are for

My lessons are suitable for beginners who are just starting to learn Japanese, as well as learners who want to improve their conversation skills or strengthen their understanding of Japanese grammar. Whether you are learning Japanese for travel, personal interest, cultural exchange, or future study, I will do my best to support your learning journey.

I look forward to helping you discover the joy of learning Japanese!
