About Amy

Hi! 안녕하세요 My name is Amy(은미 in Korean). I double-majored in Practical English and Korean Language Education at University and am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Theology at Gateway Seminary in the US. I have passion for people from diverse cultural backgrounds. I've had many exciting experiences traveling and living in various countries, including Egypt, Turkey, Kenya, Canada, England, Bosnia, and others. Currently, I am living in the US. I have personal experiences learning various languages, including Arabic, Turkish and English. I also have experiences teaching Korean and English to students of diverse background and age groups. Not only have I taught languages, but I have also shared my passion for Korean cuisine by teaching students how to cook Korean food and snacks in both English and Korean. Having experienced the challenges of learning a new language and culture myself, I understand the unique difficulties that come with learning Korean as a non-native speaker. I can offer personalized guidance and encouragement to help you overcome these challenges and achieve your goals.

About the lesson

** GROUP TUTORING ($25/hr) : Interactive and dynamic classes with fellow learners!
(- Group Tutoring Sessions will be activated when 3 or more students enroll.
Bring a friend to join and sign up together! I'll notify you as soon as we reach
the minimum number of participants.

** INDIVIDUAL TUTORING ($40/hr) : Personalized lessons tailored to your needs and goals

1. Beginners
* OPTION 1 You will learn step by step throughout the textbook. (PDF Korean conversation book will be provided)
* OPTION 2 learning "Han geul + simple phrases" for understanding the lessons (It may take 3-4 hours depends on how you do)
* OPTION 3 "Reading / Writing simple words and sentences +simple phrases" for understanding the lessons (It may take 3hours plus)
* OPTION 4 “Grammar for simple conversation (2-3 grammars in a lesson)

2. Intermediate
* OPTION 1 You will learn step by step throughout the textbook. (PDF Korean conversation book will be provided)
* OPTION 2 Grammar for deeper Conversation (2-3 grammars in a lesson)

3. Special lessons
* OPTION 1 Cooking Korean snack/food both in Korean and in English (any language you want to)
* OPTION 2 Korean Culture (Special/historical places to visit, Special food that you should taste and so on)
* OPTION 3 Useful Korean Proverbs with fun stories
* OPTION 4 Useful Korean Idioms with fun stories

4. Special of the Special
* OPTION 1 If you have your own image of lessons, please do not hesitate to discuss about it. I am very pleased to help organizing your unique class. You are special!
