Lesson changes can only be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled class time. Any changes made after this period will be considered a last-minute cancellation, and the full lesson fee will be charged.

Frequent lesson changes may lead me, as the tutor, to discontinue lessons with the student, as they can affect the consistency and professionalism of the sessions. (As a full-time tutor, I appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a professional learning environment.)

Unnotified lateness: If a student arrives 15 minutes or more after the scheduled start time without prior notice, it will be considered a no-show, and the full lesson fee will be charged. (Please understand that this impacts my ability to schedule lessons with other students during that time.)

As a Korean native speaker, I was born in Seoul, Korea.
Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?
I am not sure if it would make sense but as a big fan of Friends, sometimes when I look at Monica from the show I just feel like she could be a representative of Koreans haha
She is such a motivated and hardworking person who always wants to be better(and quite a bit competitive). That is quite similar to how I feel about Korean culture(Korean people) to be honest.
Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or expression in the language that you particularly like?
"지나간 것은 지나간대로 그런 의미가 있죠" which means "Things happened in the past have their own meaning". I just love it since I believe that I could be me thanks to all those experiences from the past.
Why does speaking this language matter to you?
I am genuinely happy that more and more people are starting to notice Korea and like to learn about our language and culture. When I was studying in the UK many years ago, nobody around me wanted to know about Korea or Korean culture but now even if I am living in Australia there are quite many people wanting to learn Korean. So it just means a lot I can contribute to this trend.
What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?
Compared to Japanese or Chinese languages, I understand there are not many schools offering Korean curriculum so I understand it is hard to find a way to learn Korean. Also our population is smaller than those two countries so I guess Korea is mainly only used in "Korea" which will make it hard for the Korean learners to practice their Korean. That's why it is just important to set a routine to learn Korean. Find some nice material to learn it and maybe find some good K-dramas or songs you might like. If you need a further help you know where to ask help (:
Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.
My major was English back in university therefore I spent a lot of time studying English grammar, writing, and reading. However when I went to the UK to learn English I realised that my focus had been too narrow before, so I had to start focusing on speaking and listening since then. As a language learner and at the same time a language teacher, I hope people realise the importance of speaking and listening. Language is a tool to communicate with others after all. So instead of putting yourself on pressure to master grammar or vocabulary please rather start "using" the language.
How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?
Since I moved to Australia I started to teach Korean in different settings such as online, offline or even group lessons. My students are from different backgrounds and also different age groups. Therefore I can tell I got way more flexible teaching skills depending on the circumstances.
