About Roxie
Teaching provides a quiet space where the scratchy hum of a guitar amp meets the focused silence of a studio. I spent 12 years helping students navigate the messy, beautiful reality of turning thin concepts into finished records.
My work involves mentoring artists through chord progressions, writing to a brief, and shaping motifs into full compositions. Building dynamics across a song is a craft I have refined over a long career. I have supported countless beginners and intermediate producers as they define their own creative voice.
My process focuses on the music you actually want to make rather than rigid academic rules. Demoing your ideas effectively is the bridge between a sketch and a song. I share my knowledge from the Metalworks Institute to help you navigate technical hurdles. Writing is an act of translation that requires patience and steady guidance.
