About Alan

I have 25 years of experience as a certified Science and Math teacher, with almost 15 of those years as a College Board approved AP Physics teacher at a top Pennsylvania high school.

I currently work as an Engineering instructor at public technical high school, where students construct original machines from there own designs.
I have three current Pennsylvania state certifications for Physics,, Mathematics, and Technology Education.

I have a masters degree in Science Instruction and a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from Drexel University.

In terms of recognitions, I was a 2019 Global Teacher Prize Nominee, a White House Science Fair Honoree, a FIRST Robotics Regional Coach of the Year, and was the featured in a 2009 PBS Documentary.

I have worked for the last 3 years as an Engineering Teacher helping 30 students per year to prepare for the SolidWorks certification exam.

During my career I have helped students from a variety of backgrounds to achieve their goals and to overcome their discomfort with STEM topics. I encourage you to contact me so that we can develop a learning plan that works for you.

I am a certified and experienced Physics and Engineering teacher with over 25 years of experience in teaching and industry. I am here to help you master any number of challenging subjects with a focus on Physics students.

I bring real-world examples practical demonstrations into each lesson to provide relevance. Developing high quality STEM experiences for young people and fostering a deeper understanding of Physics, Robotics, and Engineering has been my life’s work. My ultimate goal is to help students master STEM skills and then help them use this power to make the world a better place.
I have spent the last 25 years working in Blue Ribbon public schools as a Physics instructor, Engineering Instructor, and international Robotics mentor.

My mission has always been to help my students excel and to communicate the fun and excitement that can experienced through a deeper understanding of STEM topics.

I have a proven track record of helping students succeed on high stakes exams, get into top colleges, and secure highly prized tech industry jobs. And now I would be honored to help you. How can I help you achieve your goals?
