I believe that every student can learn to read and write given when taught the proper skills and with an encouraging teacher. My teaching experience spans over fifteen years, with a focus in early primary education and foundational literacy strategies. Through my years of teaching and professional development opportunities, I have fostered a strong understanding of literacy development and the importance of evidence-based instructional strategies in foundational reading skills. My son has been seeing Laura for 3 months and is continuing throughout the summer to prepare for Grade 4. She is a fun and friendly teacher that makes her students feel comfortable and confident with their learning.
