I usually start by going through the very basics of the material and then going into details. Each of the two parts is always followed by practice problem and, sometimes, quizzes to ensure that the information is retained and perfectly understood.
I am a fourth year BSc student majoring in chemistry and about to graduate. I have worked as a science tutor and teacher assistant for more than 4 years now, even though I am only 21. Being young also makes me closer to younger students which helps in delivering information.
