About Emily
I am currently a Child and Youth Care student, my main goal in my future career is to counsel children and youth and help them find their voice. I have an extensive background working with children and youth. I have babysat, tutored, worked at after school programs, summer camps, and I am currently working in a school for my placement. In this school I have the honour of working with children from all walks of life, and through this experience I have gained skills to use while tutoring to ensure that learning is engaging and effective.

I have a very unique teaching method and I always strive to discover new strategies and techniques. I believe that making content relatable and engaging overall enhances the learning experience. I also provide copies of weekly lesson plans for parents/caregivers so the learning can continue at home! I also ask my students for feedback on lessons from time to time because from my experience, if children enjoy the way the content is taught and generally enjoy the content they pick up on it quicker.
