About Emily
I am a recent Child and Youth Studies Graduate from Mount Saint Vincent University. I majored in Psychology. I have been tutoring elementary school students and university aged students since 2018. I am passionate about teaching others the skill that is literacy. I believe it is the cornerstone to success in almost everything we do. I am an aspiring Speech Language Pathologist and am currently on a waitlist to start the program next year at Dalhousie University.

My teaching methods are quite simple. I like to get to know every individual I work with, and base the lessons completely around them. Everyone learns differently, and without taking this into account, I would be missing out on many opportunities to connect and teach my students the way they would like to be taught. I believe confidence is just as important as any academic subject. Once confidence is achieved, students can achieve absolutely anything.

Details
My rate is a flat rate. I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If the student does not advise that they will not be able to attend 24 hours before our scheduled session, the session will be charged.
