About Joy
My name is Joy, 27 years old and an independent, graduated (child) psychologist. Currently I work as an independent child coach. I guide children in my Monkey Minds Coaching various challenges. Think of a lack of self-confidence, fear, dealing with emotions, bullying and learning to set your boundaries.
I have gained my knowledge and experience during my years working as a child and youth psychologist. Last year I took the leap of faith and started to carry out my mission for myself: to help as many children as possible preventively in their growth process.

The individual Monkey Minds Coaching is intended for children who are not feeling well, can use a boost in self-confidence or are experiencing or have experienced something that they can use extra help with. We will work together on the growth process of your child in a playful, accessible and creative way.
One way I do that is by mastering their monkey mind. A monkey mind is a name for a busy head. Your monkey mind sometimes says things that are not true such as 'I can't do this', 'they don't like me' or 'I'm worth nothing anyway'. Why does your monkey mind say this if it's not true? And more importantly: what can you do about it?
My coaching sessions do not have a structured format. I think it is important to meet the need that you and your child have at that moment.
