About Katherine
Hello! My name is Katherine Spitler and I'm looking forward to seeing you in my online studio! For the last 20 years, I've enjoyed teaching music, inspiring creativity, and encouraging learners' progress and they work to meet their musical and educational goals. I have a degree in music education with a piano emphasis from Pensacola Christian College.

One-on-one lessons are the perfect venue for your learner to receive special attention and instruction. My lessons are tailored to the individual learner, but will generally take this form:
- warm-up with scales, cadences, or previously learned pieces
- practice main pieces in lesson books, sheet music, etc.
- theory concepts
- ear training
In my online studio, we will be using Alfred music books for beginner students. After our first lesson, the student will be responsible for purchasing the necessary books and having them in class by their third lesson.
We will add lots of sheet music to our repertoire, as well, keeping lessons and practice time fresh and enjoyable!
