About Stéphanie

I am a French previous Au Pair and now linguist and consultant, having lived in a number of English and French-speaking countries.

I worked across several professional areas including childcare, the travel industry international sales, University administration, translation and content writing, body movement and coaching. I am also a tutor for French and English as foreign languages.

I was an Au Pair three times and subsequent to this I have worked in collaboration with an Au Pair agency.

Au Pairs have an idea of what to expect from their upcoming journey and discovery is a huge part of the experience. If you would like to benefit from this additional coaching you will be able to approach your Au Pair experience with some very down-to-earth information in mind and confidence. I am passionate about cultural exchanges.

About the lesson

Hi, I am giving you some advice for a better experience abroad living in another culture and in a new home.

You will be well-prepared embracing your international journey and embracing your new life. As a previous Au Pair having worked in three different families and having been constantly in contact with other Au Pairs, and having subsequently worked in collaboration with an Au Pair agency, I will give you some practical tips and we will discuss some aspects which may be less obvious to settling down in a new home and another culture, so you can have a fulfilling experience with more insight knowledge.

If you are going to a French-speaking destination, you can get some targeted French lessons relevant to your Au Pair experience and get some valuable clues on how to go about new situations and expressing yourself while exchanging with both adults and children at home and outside home so you will feel like you are already familiar with your new environment.

I keep some unforgettable memories of my Au Pair times and will be happy to share some of them with you. Some things I wish I had known ahead instead of having to figure them out but it is part of the fun, and the learning experience since every Au Pair exchange is unique.

Feel free to ask me all your questions and let me give you some insight before you head off to your host country embarking on this new life ahead.

I had French lessons with Stephanie - mostly concentrating on spoken French. I found that Stephanie was an excellent tutor, very helpful and kind, even though my spoken French was really weak and it would take me ages to say a basic sentence, she'd was always so patient and gave corrections in a really, nice positive way.
