About Jeff

Some of my students have said: "Jeff is always there for his students and shows a lot of interest in the material when teaching. He is the best teacher in the Engineering Department." "Best teacher going. Hard class but we were given everything we needed to succeed if we put the work in to follow the examples and solve the assignments." "Jeff clearly demonstrates that he is passionate about the topics that he teaches, but also is very supportive of his students and gives them every opportunity to succeed if they wish to do so." "Jeff is one of the best instructors at *******. Very enthusiastic and open to answering any question on time." "Jeff is an excellent teacher by any standards, he is able to adapt and shows concern for our educational growth and capabilities. He is knowledgeable of the material he teaches and interprets them well in order for us to understand."

About the lesson

I get excited when it comes to problem solving and finding different ways to come to the same solution. I'm fascinated by how different people approach solving problems and I like to help you develop your own problem solving method while sharing what has worked for me based on my years of experience. I teach a combination of hands on demonstrations along with teaching by doing practical examples rather than lecturing about theories.

Perfect! He is a civil engineer, so anything with vectors, torque, equilibrium and momentum are right up his alley. He can of course do all other aspects of physics, it’s just that it may take him a little time to remember. He has a very flexible schedule, so meeting won’t be a problem on his end.

Great student, very responsive to emails and good communication. Knew specifically what areas we needed to focus on and where help was needed so our time was spent efficiently.

Perfect! Jeff was an amazing tutor, showing how to solve problem multiple ways step by step. He also sent his work after each session if we hadn't had enough time to go through them. He is very understanding and will build a foundation for problem solving methods that can be applied to many other courses.
