About Mallory
I have taken American Sign Language 1 and I will be taking American Sign Language 2 next semester. I received an A in the class and I am passionate and knowledgable about the basics. I would be happy to assist students beginning with signs language as I understand the fast paced learning involved. ASL is a practice based language more than anything, and it can be helpful to have a student to practice with and prepare for quizzes and tests. I would help a student do their homework by taking it slow and breaking it down. It is most important to repeat signs and focus on using homework as a practice/studying tool.

My teaching method is to have fun while learning, and to find what methods work best for people. Although immersion is the main importance when it comes to sign language, everyone is different and goes at different paces. I am an easy going college student who plays on the Emerson softball team. My major is film production, and I plan one using sign language in my future career by hiring deaf actors and actresses. Sign language is a beautiful language with a close-knit culture, and it is something I am proud to be learning about. My professor is still learning signs and I expect to as well when tutoring.
