About Edward
I am a college student who has a solid understanding of math concepts ranging from elementary school to high school level.
I am patient and calm, which allows me to effectively guide students so that they can succeed.
I have three years of experience teaching math to classes of elementary school students in an after school program. These three years included both in-person and online sessions, which allowed me to develop the many teaching styles I have as well as my flexible teaching style.
During each of those three years, the students' math skills improved dramatically, and their average test scores toward the end of the program were significantly higher than their scores at the start of the program.

I am quite flexible with my teaching style and can easily adjust according to the student's preferences. For example, I can change the way I present the information or the amount of interaction during the lessons.
A typical lesson begins with a thorough explanation of the concepts we cover that day. Next, I work through some example problems to show how to solve problems about the material. Finally, I give the student some practice exercises to try out on their own.
I am patient, attentive, and thoughtful, which are very useful qualities for helping students understand difficult or complicated concepts.
My lessons are suitable for students ranging from elementary to high school.
