About Charlie

Hi! My name is Charlie, and I’m passionate about helping students succeed on the LSAT with confidence and strategy. As a double major in Political Science and Criminology at the University of Toronto and a 97th percentile scorer, I bring a strong academic foundation in critical reading, logical analysis, and argument evaluation, all of which are essential for LSAT success. With tutoring experience and a strong background in standardized test preparation, I focus on helping students strengthen the core skills tested on the LSAT, including Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and analytical thinking.

About the lesson

My goal as an LSAT tutor is to help students build the reasoning, reading, and test-taking skills needed to perform with confidence and consistency. I take a student-centered approach, making each lesson structured, engaging, and tailored to the student’s current level, target score, and specific areas for improvement. My sessions are designed to be both interactive and results-driven, with a strong focus on critical thinking, logical analysis, and strategic exam preparation.

Teaching Methodology and Techniques

I use a personalized and adaptive approach by first identifying each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and testing patterns, then building customized lesson plans to target those areas effectively. My teaching incorporates:

Question-type breakdowns to help students recognize common Logical Reasoning patterns and avoid trap answers

Close reading strategies to improve speed, accuracy, and comprehension in Reading Comprehension passages

Timed practice and pacing techniques to strengthen endurance and improve section management

Step-by-step review methods to help students understand why answers are right or wrong and learn from mistakes

Test-specific strategies for approaching difficult questions, managing pressure, and maximizing score gains
