About Rajarshi

My name is Rajarshi Chatterjee, a passionate sitar player, from Etawah Gharana, in the field of Indian Classical Instrumental Music (Hindustani).
I'm learning sitar from the past 21 years. Now I want to teach Indian Classical Music so that the tradition continues and people can listen and feel the essence of Indian Classical Music.

About the lesson

Sitar player of Etawah Gharana. Graduated in Indian Classical Instrumental Music(Gold Medalist) from Rabindra Bharati University. Also have done Masters in Indian Classical Instrumental Music. Two times National Scholarship (CCRT, Ministry of Culture, Government of India) in 2013 and 2023 respectively. Played at All India Radio, Akashvani, Kolkata in 2015. A regular artist of Yuvavani, AIR (Kolkata). I've recieved the title of 'Vadya Shree' from CVOI (Classical Voice of India) in 2024

Perfect! Guru Rajarshi is an outstanding Sitar player and teacher who is coaching my son with utmost patience and dedication to develop his sitar skills. My son respects him as an elder brother, and so does he treat my son as a younger brother. They bond very well.

The lessons are in English, and Guru Rajarshi is very fluent and clear in his communications. He is very responsive and encourages my son to ask questions and he is always fast to respond. This has also enabled my son to grasp the Sitar knowledge well.

The lessons are also very clear and precise for anyone to understand. Most importantly my son enjoys taking instruction from his Guru Brother Rajarshi very much.

Guru Rajarshi is highly recommended as a musician and teacher for all students/sitar enthusiast. Greatly appreciate his help in nurturing students/Sitar enthusiast.
