• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  6 years ago, I started a master degree in business analysis and IT in HEC Montreal. My first course was business intelligence. I fall in love with data and how it influences business decisions. The more accurate, on time data we have the better we can improve our decisions.
  
  I learned how to use Excel, Power Bi Server to extract, load and transform data to clean it and create dashboards contains KPIs that help supporting business decisions.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  The power of data and it's impact in the real world. For the past 6 years, I worked in different big companies like Amazon, HSBC bank , Desjardins… I was able to use data to support business decisions. What was amazing it's the impact of the recommendation that I suggested based on data to improve our business processes and facilitate reducing costs or increase profit.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  It makes me very happy and excited when my student got great grades or use what I taught them in their jobs to improve things. When they succeed I feel very proud and I share their joy with them. Also sometimes student came up with specific topics and questions that sometimes I never saw. it's challenging, since the data field is an ocean so I go above and beyond to learn new things to teach them. this a win win for everyone 👌

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

  I had a professor in HEC Montreal. He was very smart. His wife was very sick with Alzheimer. He saw how bad was this disease so he join a research university program in McGill university to predict with artificial intelligence ( with massive data ) if someone will got this disease in the future and prevent it with medication. I was very impressed with the power of data to improve and even save human lives.

• What are your keys to success?

  Never stop learning. We live in a continuous changing world. To be able to grow you need to adapt yourself. For exemple in the past Excel was almost the only Tool companies use to create reports and analyse their data. Now there is Power BI and other tools that you need to have to go above and beyond. So by keep learning and being curious you ll Excel in this field.
