About Hema

I am a 21-year-old tutor from Penang, currently in my second year of a Computer Science degree in Malacca. I scored 7A 1B in SPM (Accounting & Business) and achieved a 3.8 CGPA in STPM with Business, Economics, and Computer Science. I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping students understand subjects in a simpler, more relatable way; something I wished I had when I was studying. Since I was able to catch up with all kinds of syllabuses, I was able to help those students back then and I know exactly how the questions are structured and how students think, learn, and struggle. This gives me an advantage in guiding them with updated techniques, real exam insights, and strategies that actually work. Students often prefer learning with me because I make lessons more engaging through quizzes, spelling bees, and HOTS/KBAT activities that push them to think creatively. My techniques may differ for every student, depending on which way they could adapt better and faster. I will make sure they know what they are learning.

About the lesson

My teaching methods focus on helping students fully understand the latest syllabus and exam formats. As a former KSSR and KSSM student, I teach using the same strategies that helped me master both syllabuses, and for primary students, I incorporate my experience with UASA-based formats so they become familiar with real exam structures and question flows. I also prepare my own worksheets, monthly test papers, and practice materials that follow actual school standards, ensuring students get consistent and accurate exam-style exposure. Every lesson includes interactive Malay quizzes, spelling bee activities to strengthen vocabulary, and HOTS/KBAT questions to develop critical thinking and encourage students to answer more creatively and confidently. In addition to my tuition-center experience, I have also handled private tutoring sessions in my previous workplace, both online and face-to-face, which makes me highly adaptable to different learning styles and teaching environments. Being young and up-to-date with the current syllabus allows me to connect with students easily and guide them using practical, relevant, and effective methods.
