I am a Computer Science graduate, currently working as a software developer. I have given some private lessons for GCSE to family friends, but I’m ready to assist with both GCSE and A level. (Obtained an A at A level and A* at GCSE)

My teaching method follows an idea that in order to gain a complete understanding of a mathematical problem, the student must learn a proper method of re-structuring questions - so that it is in a representation that is as clear as possible for them. Once they can do this, a seemingly complex maths problem can become a simple one by making it familiar to similar problems the student has previously solved.
I think the best way to do this is to start by using past papers and more difficult problems to learn what the student knows, allowing you to focus on the areas where difficulty is shown and teaching a method, not for overcoming just that problem, but to overcome any problem that is seen as similar. This teaching method can be adapted to suit the needs of any student, as everyone learns differently.
