About Shirin

Hi! I'm a Computer Science student who's always loved helping others learn, whether it's explaining tricky math concepts or breaking down grammar rules in a way that actually makes sense. I'm patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoy working with kids. I know every child learns differently, so I take the time to figure out what clicks for each student rather than sticking to a one-size-fits-all approach. I show up prepared, communicate clearly with parents about progress, and always follow through on what I say I'll do. My goal is to make learning feel less like a chore and more like something kids actually look forward to.

About the lesson

As a Computer Science student, I bring a logical, step-by-step approach to tutoring, breaking down math and English concepts into simple, manageable pieces so kids never feel overwhelmed. A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what we covered last time, followed by guided practice on new concepts using examples and visuals, and ends with a fun activity or game to reinforce the lesson. What sets me apart is patience and adaptability. I adjust my pace and teaching style to match how each child learns best, keeping sessions engaging rather than repetitive. My lessons are designed for elementary school students who need extra support building confidence in math and English, whether they're struggling with fundamentals or just want to stay sharp over the summer
