About Martha
I have a PhD in theoretical computer science. My area of research is application of formal reasoning to problem solving. This means I use mathematics, in particular set theory, to solve a problem before I turn it into code.
I am proficient in Java, C/C++, and Python. I enjoy typesetting in LaTeX.

I teach problem solving with Python programming. Classes start with an introduction to Basics in Python programming, and progress to advanced topics such as classes, packages, machine learning with Python. Content is structured to student needs. Classes are taught via Jupyter Notebooks via Google Colab, in order to make teaching interactive. Jupyter Notebooks allow learners to run code and immediately see output.
