About Nellie

I have played the violin from the age of 4 and have grown up performing across Europe and the UK, both in orchestras and solo. I led my county youth orchestra and co-led the national youth orchestra - some of my favourite memories were playing at the BBC proms! At age 14 I was awarded a diploma in violin performance. I then had some wonderful teaching at the Royal College of Music Junior Department and am now studying at the Royal Academy of Music, in London. I am excited to pass on the wealth of knowledge I have accumulated in the last 15 years.

About the lesson

Playing the violin is incredibly rewarding. It will show you emotions you never knew you had, and teach you skills that are applicable through all aspects of life. My years in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain were focused on inspiring everyone to join in, challenge yourself, and have fun. I would like to continue this now I have left! I would love to teach anyone from beginner to extremely advanced, at any age. We can work on anything from fun classics and extra help for grade exams, to advanced technical help and audition prep. Lessons can be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half.
