My teaching style is very interactive and I love to give my students a chance to use their language skills in academic as well as non-academic conversations. I find it very important to focus on the non-academic side of French language as well as the actual pedagogy. Through this approach, students learn how to converse and express themselves in ways that are not taught in the traditional classroom. This allows them to expand their knowledge in order to use French in their everyday lives.
I am a Concurrent Education student, majoring in French language studies. I did French Immersion all the way throughout elementary and high school and completed my previous university year in Nantes, France. There, I was able to deepen my knowledge of the French language. I have completed 3 placements in French Immersion classrooms I have tutored over 5 students in French. I have experience with children from ages 3-17 and have been called on to tutor some of my university peers in the French department. I have also completed my DELF B1 training and received the International Languages Award for French and Spanish.
